Foreign Missions

Rev. Dustin Smith

“And how shall they preach, except they be sent?”   - Romans 10:15

The Southwest section endeavors to send God-called missionaries throughout the world to preach the gospel to every creature. This is accomplished by churches having a missionary service. A missionary presents their burden and vision to the congregation and appeals for a monthly commitment called Partners-In-Missions (PIM). This enables the missionary to raise funds so they can labor in the land of their calling. If you are interested in a missionary service, take a look at the Missionaries Coming to the Southwest Section page to see when you can schedule a missionary to come to your church.

The Foreign Missions department of the Southwest section is here to assist every church in any way to develop a mission’s culture within the fabric of our churches. The Foreign Missions department also strives to see every saint express their burden for souls by giving a monthly amount, great or small, to their church to reach our world by having a Faith Promise service.

Eternal Rewards

The statistics show, that for every $300 given to missions, a soul is baptized in Jesus name and filled with the Holy Ghost on a foreign field. Considering a yearly pledge, that is $25 a month. Let us layup treasure in heaven, and let the reward of giving go before us. A small sacrifice makes a big difference. How many souls do you want to help reach across our world?

Hosting a Missionary

Often times a missionary will have “off-time” in which they will not have a scheduled service. This would be a great opportunity for a church to host a missionary. By providing lodging, an offering, and possibly a PIM, a church will help a missionary with their expenses in coming to our section. I am sure that the pastor and missionary will have a wonderful time of fellowship in this “off-time”.
